I actually buy all of the very latest software programs from the main Serif website ( http://www.serif.com/ ) and I own every single one that they sell. I know that might sound a bit excessive, but I do use them all for my business and that makes them tax-deductable, which is handy.
Serif's software is much cheaper than the equivalent ones on the market and I find them much easier to use than the likes of PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, etc.
But what is also great about Serif, is that they will always make older versions of their most popular products available online for FREE, which is why I thought it a good idea to share it with everyone here.
I think it's great that you sell your reconditioned PC's pre-loaded with free Open-Source software already installed, as this is sure to keep the costs down for your customers.
The Free Serif Software above ( http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/ ) will, if you decide to install them on your machines, be a fantastic way of adding greater perceived value to them without bumping up your costs - thus keeping everybody happy.
Lastly, here's something else that may be of interest to you, the 'Free Software Directory' ( http://directory.fsf.org/ ). There's some useful stuff on that site which could prove helpful to you perhaps...-

JamiesComputers

This is interesting. We use a lot of open source software at work - on our server, to test our stock before selling it and we put it on the computers we sell. This includes OpenOffice, Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird. I use OpenOffice Draw all the time, and it's really rather good
